When I was working the job I hated, (the janitor job) I walked a lot – about 8 miles a day, and I lost weight. I got down to the weight I always wanted to be. Around 200 lbs! (I was 200lbs in the summer / fall of 2010)
In May of this year, I quite my “other” job again (after leaving it and then coming back to it…again) this time I quite because my son was born and I went into voice overs full time! (At that time – May of this year - I was about 210lbs) It’s only been 2 months since I quite that job and I’m already up to 225lbs.
All I do is sit in front of my computer, (work) sit and watch TV (relaxing), and eat. Sometimes I take my daughter to the park. But I feel I’m getting so fat that I get tired way to quick!
Ok, in all seriousness…I know I’m not THAT fat. I’m not morbidly obese! Although my paints waist size is up to 42 now! I would like to keep it at 40 or maybe even 38! 38 might seem big to some people, but I can live with 38! I can’t live with 42’s or (God help me) 44’s!
I’ve had enough!

I don’t have a job that makes me exercise or walk all the time, so I have to schedule it myself! Taking care of my body has GOT to be a part of what I do EVERYDAY….like taking my daughter to school or working in my recording studio.
Walking outside on a nice sunny day or inside on the treadmill. I need to do…..SOMETHING!!!
I also need to cut down on the cans of pop I drink and less sugar in my coffee. I am NOT going to go on a strict diet, I’m just going to cut back and get moving!
There’s a quite I like from the movie The Shawshanke Redemption! Get busy living or get busy dying!
