Frank James Bailey
A few minutes ago I popped on G+ and noticed a BIG change. G+ changed their layout! It looks just like facebooks old timeline! That back and forth (side to side) posting crap! If they don’t change back soon, I think Google plus is about to loose what users they had left! Timeline was the reason I hated facebook and changed to G+! I HATE timeline with a passion!
Ahhh…why would G+ do that? It was perfect the way it was!!
My latest video voice over tip. Which really has nothing to do with ACTUAL voice overs, but is very important to do as a voice talent.
Social networking!
Here is my latest youtube voice over video tip. Every voice actor needs a web site. But FACEBOOK is NOT your web site!
I LOVE GOOGLE PLUS! You Should Too! Here is the reason I think a lot of people have NOT left FB yet. The personal URL’s!
Here is a video I made about Google Plus vs. Facebook. And that some people don’t like the way Youtube is going.
I wonder why I never see the G+ logo on anything? What I mean is…commercials always have a “see us on facebook” tag. Or…on some web sites you see the logo / banner for facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube…and sometimes Tumblr but you hardly EVER see the G+ logo…why?
I’m very new to tumblr. I noticed that I can see who I’m fallowing but, unlike, facebook, google+, and Youtube, I can’t see if anyone is fallowing me.
Or…is there a feature on Tumblr that I’m not clicking right.
Please help me out. I would love to know if there is a way I can see if anyone is fallowing my Tumblr page.
Thanks
Frank
My youtube channels.
Ok…in case you don’t know much about me. My name is Frank James Bailey. I was a radio DJ for over 20 years. Now I do voice overs. I consider voice overs my full time job, even though sometimes it doesn’t bring me the money I need. In 2009 I got as job cleaning to help support my family. I really DON’T want to do that again!!
I love making videos on Youtube. But even though I just started making videos for fun, I knew the “fun” had to turn into making me some money somewhere down the road. I have 2 channels that are monetized, but I am NOT partner on…yet! And…I have 2 other channels that are NOT monetized. Here they are….
FRANK JAMES BAILEY
This was my FIRST channel on Youtube. This channel is for my Voice Over business! It’s to help promote my voice over business with audio and video demos. THIS CHANNEL is NOT monetized!
FRANKS VIDEO WORLD
This channel was my second channel. It started off as a V log channel. But my views never went above 30 or 40. Some of my “crazy” videos went above 100, but not many. THIS CHANNEL is monetized!
FRANK JAMES BAILEY TV
Youtube.com/FrankJamesBaileyTV
After making a Ray William Johnson parody that got over 800 hits on my Franks Video World channel, I knew I should be doing a show kind of like his…but different. So I created The Frank Video Show. Every week I have a Theme and I make fun of other Internet videos, not necessary viral videos. So far…this channel is my BEST channel. But it’s a SHOW! THIS CHANNEL is monetized!
FRANKS V LOG
THIS CHANNEL is NOT monetized! This is a channel where I just speak my mind! I have almost 100 videos up on this channel. But…every video only gets viewed LESS then 10 times each!! (yes…that’s IT! Around 10 times each!)
I was thinking about closing my Franks V log channel. But I still want to do a vlog channel. So I was thinking about making a family vlog channel. I haven’t decided for sure yet.
What do you think? Should I give up on Franks V log?
Please leve me a comment here or on facebook, Google +, or Twitter. (or on my latest V log video too.)
Thanks
Frank
Google Plus (or Google + or G+) A few months ago I did a blog about Googling your self. Or rather Googling your name. If you haven’t read the blog yet, I wrote it back in July, right here on Word press. Check it out. This blog is sort of an update. It’s about Google Plus. I’m sure most people know, facebook is a monster! What I mean is…just about EVERYBODY is on facebook. Even your grandma! (OK, I don’t actually know for sure if your grandma is on facebook. Mine isn’t. But there is a comedy song about that.) For the past 4 – 5 years facebook has grown to be the biggest social networking site in the world! Well, lookout facebook. The new kid on the block is called Google Plus. And it’s growing fast!! In the early part of this past summer, Google Plus was by Invite only! In September, Google Plus was opened to the public. I was lucky enough to be invited back in the summer. In just a few short months, I found myself using Google Plus a lot more. For 1… the layouts are very similar to facebook. People can post comments on your “page” or “wall”, just like facebook. 2 – You can add pictures and video a lot easier. And 3 – the biggest difference (and my favorite so far!) is the circles. I love how I can put different people in different categories (or rather circles). I have a circle for voice actors, I have a circle for friends, for family, and for Youtubers. I’m seeing a LOT of new faces on G+. Just like back in 2008 or 2009, when a lot of people were using Myspace and switched to Facebook, today I know a lot of people who have switched from Facebook to G+. Will people stop using Facebook all together? I don’t think so. For 1, Facebook still has a few features that Google Plus doesn’t have yet. On Facebook, you can create a “like” or “fan” page and have as many people as you want “like” you. If you just have a regular facebook page, there is a 5000 friend limit. The bad thing is, facebook is making a LOT of changes. Changes that a lot of people just don’t like! So they switch! Google Plus also has a cool thing called a “hangout” where up to 8 people can do a video call! (I think I saw that in a Star Trek movie once! LOL) Finally, what I’ve noticed in the past few months is Google Plus seems to be in that “cool new place to hang out” faze right now. Yes…it’s only been a few months for Google Plus. People are NOT leaving Facebook in droves. (at least not yet) but, on the other hand, I know that a lot of Facebook users are. So far, it look like the “cool kids” are the only ones using Google Plus right now. Not your grandma. At least…not yet. If you’re not on Google Plus, go there and check it out. Add me to your circle. Let me know what you think. The link is below. Thanks for reading. Have a good weekend. FrankI know I just updated this Blog yesterday, but I felt the need to update it today with blog about Google Plus.
