I had an epiphany

It’s Sunday morning. 3 / 4 / 2012.

A few days ago I wrote a blog here on Tumblr saying how much I liked to do my little “Frank Video Show” but I wasn’t going to make any more updates because I was click bombed. No sense and doing it if the outcome is that I will NEVER be partner…right?

Well….no…WRONG!

I either had a dream last night or an epiphany.

First, I am a voice actor. I make a living by using my voice. People PAY ME to voice Internet videos, radio station liners, phone messages and all sorts of stuff.

Second, I also like to make videos. So…why stop?

After a year of being on Youtube I realized that the Vlog channels don’t really get that many views or a lot of subscribers. My FranksVlog channel never got above 50 views. Hell, sometimes my videos on that channel hardly broke 10 views! My other channel, FranksVideoWorld got more views but still, hardly cracked over 100 views a video.

Now my SHOW channel, wow…what a difference! I got between 3,000 and 8,000 views a video!

My idea (or epiphany) was this! Get ride of FranksVlog AND FranksVideoWorld! (yes…delete those channels!) and just make vlogs on my VOICE OVER CHANNEL….youtube/FrankJamesBailey. Grant it, most of the stuff on that channel will be content related to my voice over business, but I will post some V logs on that channel too. If vlog channels hardly ever get views…why have 14,000,000 channels? (or in my case 4!)

So as of today…I will start posting NEW vlog videos on my main VLOG / Voice Over channel (youtube/FrankJamesBailey) After all if my videos will NEVER get above 100 views, why not just use that one? (even if they get to 1000, and I was partnered, I would only get $1 or $2 for ever 1000 views. I NEVER got as 1000 views for ANY Vlog. So what’s the big deal if this channel is never monatozed.)

As for my NEW show channel….that’s youtube/TheFrankVideoShow. Yep…I’m going to START my show back up again…soon, but not yet…and it will will be on THAT channel. The link is below.

The way I figure it, if anyone searches for Frank James Bailey, the voice actor, they will find me, Frank James Bailey, the voice actor. But when I start making videos again, I hope that when people search for The Frank Video Show…they find it a lot easier. After all, it will be NAMED the Frank Video Show AND the channel will be named that too!

It’s so simple, I should have thought about this long time ago.

I am going to make a video really soon directing people to my NEW channel.
